FATF Public Statement – 21st October, 2021

On the 21st October, 2021, the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) issued a Public Statement calling on all members and jurisdictions to apply enhanced due diligence procedures for all countries identified as high-risk. In most serious cases the FATF calls upon countries to apply counter-measures to protect the international financial system from the ongoing money laundering, terrorists financing, and proliferation financing risks emanating from the country.

BE IT ENACTED by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent
of the Nevis Island Assembly and by the authority of the same as follows:
A BILL to repeal and replace the Nevis International Banking Ordinance Cap. 7.05 (N) and to
enable international banking to be carried on by international banks from within Nevis; to provide
for the regulation of international banks; to encourage the development of Nevis as a responsible
international financial centre; and to provide for matters incidental thereto or connected therewith.
